Join us February 7th — National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day— for a panel discussion and performances at Spoke

HIV disproportionately affects Black people in the United States. According to the CDC, “In 2019, Black people accounted for 13% of the U.S. population but 40% (479,300) of people with HIV.”

February 7th is National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day! First observed in 1999, the goal of this day is “dedicated to raising awareness about the disproportionate impact of HIV on Blacks/African Americans, and the importance of increasing access to HIV prevention, testing, and treatment services to reduce this burden.
