WeSpoke Gallery Talks

Conversations on Art in Social Action with SPOKE

We entered 2021 looking forward to a year of hope, healing and recovery. If we are to realize that vision, art and artists must be at the center of our work.

Join Medicine Wheel Founder & Artistic Director Michael Dowling in WeSpoke, a series of virtual talks with artists working at the intersection of creative expression and social change.

Building on nearly 30 years of activating art to triage critical community needs, WeSpoke will address the role of the artist in racial reconciliation, climate change, addiction and recovery, and LGBTQ equity. Among the exceptional artists already lined up for these conversations are Shea Justice, Alison Maria Rodriguez, and Amanda Shea. Works by Rodriguez & Justice will also be exhibited in the New Spoke Gallery later this year as part of the group show, Layered Time.
